PCT Volunteer: Mark Silva

This is the first post intended to recognize people who have given their time and energy to improve the fishery.

Mark Silva has been a frequent volunteer assisting in the work done by PCT.  Most recently, he has been instrumental in the recent side channel work. He has brought his knowledge, skill, and passion to the task and inspires others to help.

As a bit of background, Mark is a retired union carpenter. He has four grown children and seven grandchildren.

He started fishing Putah Creek in the 1980’s and has been fly fishing since 2005.

“I enjoy volunteering at Putah Creek – it gives me a chance to learn the fishery and also give something back.”

Thank you Mark for all you do for Putah Creek!
