Working to protect and improve the wild trout fishery in Putah Creek
Thanks Dave for your energy and dedication to the cause! Let’s learn a little bit more about Dave FROM Dave….
One day I was fishing Putah Creek and a man came up to me and said, “Hi, my name is Steve Karr …..” and I’ve been volunteering ever since.
I’m a retired general contractor who ended up in Sacramento in 1972 after deciding to head north to leave the Los Angeles area. I have been married for 27 years and have two sons age 26 and 23.
I enjoy fishing Putah Creek because it’s close to home, and always presents a challenge which helps make me a better fisherman.
I volunteer to meet other local fishermen, and believe if everyone does a little to help protect our environment, we’ll have a healthy earth to leave for future generations to enjoy. My favorite project is the river survey.
